Pacific Highway Upgrade - Oxley Highway to Kempsey

Location:
Mid North Coast, NSW
Total Project Value:
>$200M

This project involved upgrading a 37km length of the Pacific Highway from single carriageway to dual carriageways including construction of new bridges, soft soil treatments and retaining walls. This project had earthworks balance issues, contained significant lengths of road construction over flood plains, soft soils, acid rock, major bridge construction and complex interchanges. The challenge was to provide a cost efficient design that could be safely constructed.

Our client commissioned MIEngineers to undertake a Concept Estimate and Project Budget (including quantitative risk assessment), and Detailed Estimate quantities.

MIEngineers was also engaged to:

  • prepare contract documents, quantity takeoffs and quantity schedules;
  • provide constructability advice; and
  • co-facilitate constructability and risk workshops.
